BACKLIT MIRROR WALL CABINET
Crafted by a collaborative team from Gancarz and Carte Blanche, this striking backlit mirror wall cabinet required an impressive four months to be completed. Boasting dimensions of 2.30 x 1.30 meters, its internal structure is so intricate that it has earned the nickname 'spaceship'. The cabinet diffuses light evenly and powerfully, eliminating visible sources and shadows in the corners. Managed by an intelligent home automation system, its body combines aluminum and nickel-plated solid brass. Equipped with invisible hinges and handles, the doors can smoothly open to a full 180°, aided by a braking system that allows for various pre-set opening angles.
SEA IN STORM
Imagined by decorator Anne Agapova and manufactured by our partners in différent French workshops, this striking glass panel measures 2 meters by 1.5 meters and carries a weight of nearly 250 kilograms. Accentuated by a sophisticated aluminum frame adorned with a stainless steel patina.
GLYCINE IN GLASS
Crafted by artist Florence Tassan Toffola and conceptualized by interior designer Anna Agapova, this glass panel adorns a single office wall. Utilizing double glass, it creates a sense of space and allows for experimentation with light reflection and refraction.
To enhance the overall design, Florence skillfully combines eglomisé and engraving techniques, providing a sense of richness and complexity to the piece.
BRONZE DRAGONS
Measuring 75 cm, the bronze door handles designed in an Asian style evolved into the form of battling dragons after a series of tests and discussions. Renowned artist Jean Boggio brought these sculptures to life, incorporating an imperial dragon motif with five outstretched claws.
MOORISH-STYLE STAINED-GLASS WINDOWS
11 different companies utilized their expertise to successfully create the grand Moorish-style stained-glass windows. These windows, intended for a luxurious private residence's swimming pool, had all their bronze and brass components custom-finished to withstand variations in humidity and temperature.
25 SHADES OF NICKEL / SHOWER DOORS
In this project, our aim was to highlight the elegance of the metal through the fabrication of a intricately shaped brass frame. This involved commissioning custom dies based on our specifications. A decorative brass trim was incorporated on the exterior of the door, and the tempered double glazing was embellished with a delicate pattern of slender vertical lines to enhance its appearance.
BLOSSOMING ALMOND TREE
The exquisite glass panel showcases the flowering almond tree branches, created by fusing eglomisé with oxidized metal leaf embedded within the glass. Drawing inspiration from Van Gogh's renowned artwork, Almond Trees in Bloom, and the ancient Japanese art form of maki-e, this masterpiece exudes a poetic charm.
THE CROWN-SHAPED BRONZE DOME
Crafting the glass and metal dome, more intricate than a straightforward glass roof, serves as a remarkable technical feat showcasing skilled artisanship. Acting as the interior layer of an outer dome, the cupola demands precise alignment with its outer counterpart. Alongside its substantial weight, numerous ornate lighting fixtures are attached. Often adorned with intricate designs or subjected to elaborate treatments, the dome's glass is intended to produce captivating light effects and establish distinctive ambiances.
MACRAMÉ HANGING CHAIR
Crafted by artist Laurentine Perilhou, this macramé hanging chair is intended for a child's room, showcasing a contemporary take on a traditional art.
ART OF LACQUER
Mastering the art of lacquer demands not only remarkable patience but also a flawless command of numerous advanced techniques. The artist embarks on an arduous journey, navigating through various stages that begin with preparing the base to accommodate the lacquer, followed by the meticulous processes of sanding and polishing. Additionally, the artist may need to delicately execute steps like inlaying, metallization, sculpting, relief work, engraving, and glazing to bring the piece to completion. The enchanting synergy between the materials, the artist's creativity, and their skilled hand results in the creation of richly textured and vibrant hues.
