A window stop is a hardware element that allows you to fix the window sash in an open position, thereby choosing a convenient ventilation mode depending on the season. This mechanism consists of a bar with notches and a latch that allows adjusting the position of the sash within 1-10 centimeters.
A window opening restrictor is an indispensable device not only for homes with children or pets. Thanks to the stopper, the window will not slam shut from a draft or swing open from a gust of wind. The bars that regulate the degree of opening are also called "combs."
The most popular type of "combs" are plastic or metal-plastic restrictors for PVC windows. Such window restrictors can be easily found in any building materials store—they are almost as common as the usual white plastic frames.
But what about those who pay attention even to the functional details of hardware, which are not usually considered significant in terms of design and finishing? A standard plastic restrictor is unlikely to adorn a contrasting dark window frame or a frame made of colored wood.
In collaboration with the best French masters, the Bureau of Irina Bokova will develop and manufacture window restrictors according to your sketches, in accordance with your design project or hardware. Together with the Parisian carpentry workshop Gancarz, we have developed a series of stylish metal window restrictors for the elite residential complex "Triumph Palace," which complemented the large and heavy windows with narrow frames.
Depending on the interior concept and the room's finishing, each restrictor was matched with its own finish—antiqued bronze, nickel, or blackened steel. Custom-made window restrictors are the choice for those who care and who know for sure: perfection is made up of details.
